Hi, I'm Theresa

As a Special Care Counsellor and Social Worker with a degree from McGill University, I specialize in supporting families navigating conflict, separation, and major life transitions. My work focuses on helping parents and caregivers move through emotionally charged situations—whether related to co-parenting, rebuilding trust, or making difficult decisions that affect the family system.

I approach each situation with a systemic and humanistic lens: I pay close attention to the patterns and roles that shape relationships, while also centring the lived experience, needs, and strengths of each individual. I believe people have the capacity to grow, adapt, and repair—but that meaningful change often begins with feeling seen, respected, and supported.

As a certified family mediator under engagement recognized by the OTSTCFQ, I offer structured, neutral guidance for parents navigating separation. Mediation creates a collaborative space to address parenting responsibilities, schedules, and financial considerations with the well-being of the children at the core.

In addition to family work, I also provide counselling to individuals and couples dealing with stress, burnout, anxiety, emotional regulation, and relationship strain. I draw from CBT, DBT, and trauma-informed practices, always working in a way that prioritizes safety, trust, and practical outcomes.

Whether you’re seeking support through mediation or counselling, my role is to walk alongside you—offering clarity, steadiness, and the tools needed to move forward with confidence and care.
