My Social Work Approach
I work from both a systemic and humanistic perspective. I see each person within the broader context of their relationships, family, work, and community—understanding that many challenges are shaped by the systems we live in. At the same time, I believe that human beings have the inherent capacity to grow and overcome difficulties. Sometimes, we just need guidance to regain our footing and reconnect with a sense of balance and wellbeing.
My practice is rooted in unconditional acceptance, respect, empathy, and authenticity. Whether I’m providing individual support, couple counselling, or family mediation, I prioritize building a strong, trusting working relationship—because meaningful change starts with feeling safe, seen, and supported.
In family mediation, I offer a neutral space where separating couples and parents can address practical decisions around parenting and finances with the help of a trained professional. The process is designed to reduce conflict, prioritize the needs of children, and support long-term cooperation.
Across all areas of my work, I integrate cognitive, behavioral, and systemic approaches, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). I am also trauma-informed, ensuring that each interaction is rooted in safety, collaboration, and an awareness of how past experiences may shape the present.
It’s important to note that the services I offer are not psychotherapeutic in nature, but are part of a professional helping relationship grounded in ethics, insight, and practical care.
